Video Games
I made a comment about this on Garbagewater but I figured I would mention it here. Savage 2 is now available for preorder for $29.99. Preordering by 4/15 (Saturday) gets you into the beta which is supposed to start in June.

From the Savage 2 site:
Savage 2: A Tortured Soul sells for $29.99 online. If the game was sold through retail stores we would be forced to charge users $49.99, like all the other AAA Titles. The reason we're significantly cheaper than other high end titles is because we are a self publishing, independent developer. By circumventing traditional publishing methods and avoiding the profit sucking retail stores we're able to pass these savings directly to you. Spread the word, help the development community by supporting companies that want to make unique and innovative games.

So support these guys and buy their game. It's well worth your time.

On a related note, you can purchase a key for Savage 1 from them for only $19.95 which also gives you access to download the game from them. Savage 1 was a huge hit at the last lanparty and is sure to be a hit again. So technically for $50, the price of any new game, you can purchase two games which are sure to rock your house.
